Your private writing should stay private.

Privacy

How Wryit.ink handles account data, private writing, published works, and preferences.

Account and profile data

Wryit stores account details needed to sign in, keep sessions working, and show the profile information a writer chooses to make visible.

Drafts and private writing

Drafts, private notes, imports, and unpublished writing are private by default. Public pages are created only when the writer chooses to publish.

Published works

Published public works can be read by visitors. Unlisted works are available by direct link. Private, request-only, scheduled, withdrawn, erased, and Ghosted content is not meant for public discovery.

Request-to-read emails

When someone requests access to a work, Wryit stores the requester email and message so the writer can approve, reject, or revoke access.

Notifications and email delivery

Wryit stores notifications for account activity such as read requests, publishing events, likes, shares, and .ink rewards. Email delivery is used for reader requests and account-related messages where enabled.

Cookies and local storage

  • Session cookies keep writers signed in.
  • Local storage supports autosave, active draft state, mood, font, and Writer Care preferences.
  • Wryit does not use ad-tracking cookies in the MVP.

Deleted and erased content

Archived content can be restored. Erased content is intended to be removed from normal use and public access after Final Ink Check.

Ghost Writer Mode

When Ghost Writer Mode is on, public visitors see only the Ghosted message. Hidden profile details are not intentionally exposed in public page content or metadata.

No AI training

Wryit does not train AI models on user writing.
